Simplified and asset allocation result in very different after estate
Anyone can help me understand why my plans under asset allocation always result in about 30% less after-tax estate compared to using the overall rate of return?
I made the comparisons without changing other variables. For the simplified investment assumptions, I used 2.5% inflation, 4.5% price appreciation, 1.3% dividend yield. Under asset allocation, it's 50/50 Cdn/US equity for RRSP, 90/10 TFSA and 50/50 cash/Cdn equity non-reg.
