build profile for masters in electronics

I'm starting my third yr as a btech student in ECE in one months time. I've decided I'll be opting for masters specifically in digital vlsi and looking to build a profile suitable for the same. i have a few questions I had to clear:

  1. is cgpa criticised heavily while considering for mext (I have 7.5 gpa upto the 4th sem)
  2. do you need to have published some research papers?
  3. I am currently working as a summer research intern under a reputed professor, does that count as valid experience for masters?
  4. i seek to start my masters study as soon as I complete my bachelors degree, should I apply for mext at the end of my third yr itself? or wait until my 4th yr is over?
  5. i have a few projects in my resume including a basic riscv processor. are these projects of any relevance?

i am currently confused as to how to best utilise this time before i start applying for masters. I'm open to applying for any scholarship as long as it can cover my tuition so what crucial points do I need in my profile to maximize my chances.

i have tried looking for answers on reddit and through Google search but I can't find a concrete answer to all the questions.

TLDR; which points in a profile make it most likely to be accepted and what points should be avoided at all costs when presenting yourself. cgpa, projects, research papers, research interns; how would you place weightage on these aspects.

thank you for all the guidance you can provide🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️
