New data from 200+ Amazon Influencers just dropped. Here's what actually predicts earnings (and what doesn't matter at all)

Data Coach Claire ran a legit statistical regression on survey data from 200+ Amazon Influencer Program creators. Not opinions, not "this worked for me" facebook group advice. Actual controlled data looking at multiple variables at the same time.

3 factors that predict ~70% of the difference in monthly earnings between creators:

1. Number of storefront posts. Top earners have 1,500-2,000+ posts. Lower earners sit around 200-300. Even after controlling for everything else, volume still wins. Sorry to everyone who wanted to hear otherwise lol

2. What % of your income comes from Creator Connections. This was huge. Top earners pull 50%+ of their total income from CC campaigns. Two creators with the exact same number of posts can have completely different earnings depending on how much of their content targets products with active CC campaigns. Its not just about uploading videos, its about uploading videos for products that have CC campaigns paying 10-50% bonus commissions.

3. Average view duration. Top performers are hitting 1 minute+ per video. Every additional second of watch time correlated with higher income. You can check yours in Creator Hub under manage videos btw.

Now heres the part nobody wants to hear. What did NOT predict earnings:

  • Conversion rate
  • Whether you show your face
  • Thumbnail type
  • What software you use
  • How long you spend making each video

That last one stings. Spending 25 minutes perfecting a video that gets 10 seconds of watch time does literally nothing for your income. Amazon doesnt care how hard you worked on it. They care how long people watched it.

Other stuff happening this week:

Amazon quietly reduced reporting visibility inside Creator Connections. The community is calling it a "data blackout" because halo sales and category tracking data is shrinking. Logie held a whole panel on it with Ileane Smith, Ehud Segev, and others talking about what creators should actually do about it.

Off-site clicks are becoming a way bigger deal than most people realize. Sharing your existing amazon videos across facebook pinterest youtube etc is creating a second income stream without filming anything new. Some creators seeing results within 24 hours just from resharing old content.

Also Oink dropped v7.3.2 last week with a feature that lets you search Amazon normally and it shows you which products have active CC campaigns right on the search results page. Thats a game changer for product research honestly.

The formula from the data is pretty clear: make a lot of videos → for CC products → that people actually watch. Thats it. Everything else is noise.

Spring content window is wide open right now too. DST hits March 8, St Patricks Day March 17, Easter is April 5. If your not filming seasonal stuff this week your already behind.

What are you guys seeing on your end? Anyone else notice the reporting changes in CC?
