1080p vs. 4K Webcams - which should i get?

Hey all,

This is a common questions we are being asked, mainly because people don't know if the 4K worth the value, or if it is good to but 4K from less known brand rather then 1080p from a known one.

We thought it would by nice to clarify this:

Well...

If you mostly do video calls, online classes, or casual streaming, a 1080p webcam is usually enough. It gives clear video, doesn’t use much internet, and is cheaper. Most built-in microphones and simple lighting work fine for everyday stuff.

On the other hand,

if you make videos, stream professionally, or just really care about super sharp visuals, a 4K webcam can make a difference. You’ll get better detail, wider views, and often better low-light performance. Just keep in mind it uses more bandwidth, takes up more space, and costs more.

Honestly, it comes down to what you actually need. If you just want something that works for Zoom calls or casual streaming, 1080p is totally fine and probably you won't need to invest the extra money. If your work or hobby demands extra clarity, 4K is a must and you can find good options even under 100$, or more advanced that can reach above $300.
