NC500 Bases

Hi all, looking to do NC500 at the end of September for 7 nights via car.

How would you all recommend going about the NC500 for bases? Was thinking of 2 nights on the east coast (Brora area), 2 nights on the north coast (Bettyhill area) and 3 nights on West coast (Ullapool area).

Don't mind doing a lesser number of bases. Was looking at Lairg as a potential option for just one base.
