**New Features**

**Social Security Strategy Analysis**

The SS claiming analysis got a substantial rework this week, not just a bug fix:

* **Dual PV methodology now displayed** — the strategy header shows both the longevity-optimal (mortality-adjusted) and investment-adjusted best claiming ages when they diverge, with an explanation of why they differ
* **Interactive spousal matrix filtering** — clicking a claiming age row in the strategy table now filters the spousal strategy matrix to show only combinations anchored to that age; click again to return to the full top-5 view
* **Break-even chart now investment-adjusted** — the SS break-even chart in the Compare tab computes real portfolio return from your allocation and shows investment-adjusted crossover ages alongside nominal ones
* **12x PIA magnitude bug fixed** — PIA was being passed as annual to functions expecting monthly, inflating all lifetime SS figures by 12x. All affected calculations (strategy analysis, break-even chart) are corrected

**Allocation Change Events** — Schedule future shifts in your portfolio allocation tied to specific accounts (e.g., move 401k to 50/50 at age 65, then 40/60 at 70). Supports one-time snapshots or gradual linear interpolation between two ages. Lives in the Spending tab alongside Account Transfers.

**LTC Care-Type Presets** — Long-term care planning now includes presets for independent living, assisted living, memory care, and nursing home — each pre-filled with national monthly average costs. Removes the guesswork from entering LTC inputs.

**Comprehensive Scenario Comparison** — The Compare tab now surfaces a detailed parameter-by-parameter diff between two scenarios, not just a chart overlay.

**IPS & Export Report: auto-simulation preflight** — Before generating an IPS or exporting the PDF report, the simulation runs automatically if it hasn't already. No more stale-simulation exports.

**Export Report: Simulation Limitations Appendix** — A new page in the export report (positioned between Simulation Outcomes and Probability Analysis) explicitly discloses five key model limitations: LTC not included in base Monte Carlo, static pension benefit assumption, medical inflation anchoring, survivor income not modeled in base runs, and reference to the IPS for full assumptions detail.

**RMD Routing Picker** — The Tax Strategy tab now has a per-account picker for routing after-tax RMD surplus, instead of hardcoded brokerage/cash splits.

**"Apply to Accounts" in Allocation Explorer** — A new button lets you push your global allocation settings down to individual accounts directly from the Allocation Explorer tab.

**Notable Bug Fixes**

**Account transfers showing "Unknown" and false "Insufficient Funds"** — Fixed.

**RMD: 4 bugs resolved** — Spouse age display was showing simulation-year-end age instead of calendar-year-end; RMD trigger was firing at birth month instead of January; prior-year-end balance was updating at the wrong month; per-account RMD routing had an edge case. All four fixed.

**Account ID type mismatch** — IDs were inconsistently stored as numbers vs. strings, causing silent failures in transfers, allocation events, and dropdowns. Normalized throughout.

**Medical inflation fix** — Was incorrectly compounding from retirement start date; now correctly anchors to scenario start, which was causing pre-inflated values for already-retired users.

**Ledger missing education and annuity fields** — Both now included in ledger rows.

**Guardrails sweep UX** — Clarified strategy inputs; improved sweep behavior in the Probability-Based Spending tab.

**Retiree-Aware UI Polish**

A batch of fixes for already-retired households:

* Dashboard hides "At Ret:" prefix for retirees
* "Retirement Income Gap" widget hidden for retirees
* "How Do I Compare" tab shows retirement-relevant labels
* IPS (PDF, modal, and Word export) now generates retiree-appropriate content — updated return/risk language, added guaranteed-income governance, cash-policy guidance, improved tax strategy sections (TLH applicability, QCD, annuity tax notes), and combined pension dual-risk warning when both zero-COLA and no-survivor-benefit pensions exist
* Export Report retiree-aware across cover, at-a-glance, and paycheck sections
* Survivor Analysis and Healthcare/LTC pages in the export report now include explicit framing that these are planning proxies/heuristics
* Timeline strip labels pre-retirement phase as "Historical" for retired households instead of "Accumulation"

**UI / UX**

* Autosave/Synced/E2E status consolidated into a single color-coded badge (emerald = synced, blue = syncing, amber = offline, rose = error)
* Fixed scenario selector invisible in Microsoft Edge
* Budget section in sidebar now respects the "hide budget section" setting

**Infrastructure**

* Ticker price feed: fixed yfinance zero-price bug, switched stooq to a working historical endpoint, reduced NASDAQ timeout, fixed 503 fallback

Let me know if anything looks off. More coming soon. Really appreciate the feedback.
