New H-1B updates are making one thing very clear
immigration ≠ workforce strategy
Between:
- wage-based selection changes
- higher salary requirements being proposed
- increased scrutiny
- visa uncertainty
relying entirely on H-1B sponsorship is becoming harder for some companies.
Which raises an interesting question:
If the best person isn't in the US, does the person really need to move to the US?
Feels like more companies are separating:
"Where talent sits"
from
"Where work gets done."
Not every role needs immigration.
Sometimes global employment infrastructure solves the problem more efficiently.
Curious how others are thinking about workforce planning with all the H-1B changes happening.
