Title: Tested 5 no-code builders for 6 months — honest pros & cons (2026, no fluff)
Alright so I've been obsessively building stuff this year and went through a bunch of platforms. Some of you have asked me before which one is actually worth it so here's my breakdown. Long post but I tried to keep it tight.
1. Bubble
Pros:
- Insanely powerful once you get it
- Can build almost anything — real databases, logic, workflows
- Community is huge, tons of templates and plugins
Cons:
- The learning curve will humble you. Took me 3 weeks to feel comfortable
- Slow performance on lower plans
- Editor UI feels like it's from 2019
2. Webflow
Pros:
- Nothing beats it for design control
- Clean output, good for SEO
- CMS works well for blogs and content sites
Cons:
- It's a website builder pretending to be an app builder
- Pricing jumps are painful
- Not for you if you're not design-minded already
3. Glide
Pros:
- Fastest setup I've ever seen - literally launched something in 2 hours
- Syncs with Google Sheets and Airtable out of the box
- Great for internal tools
Cons:
- Hits a ceiling really quick
- Very template-dependent
- Customization is almost nonexistent without paying up
4. FlutterFlow
Pros:
- Actually builds native mobile apps
- Exports real Flutter code so you're not locked in forever
- Firebase integration is smooth
Cons:
- You need some technical knowledge to not get lost
- Debugging is a nightmare sometimes
- Web apps feel like an afterthought
Verdict: Solid if mobile is your priority. Not great otherwise
5. 8080.ai
Pros:
- Genuinely the fastest I've gone from idea to something working
- AI does the heavy lifting — you describe what you want, it builds
- No-code actually means no-code here, not "low-code with extra steps"
- Perfect for validating before you spend money on devs
Cons:
- Still early days so some features are catching up
- Not the move if you need enterprise-level complexity right now
- Works best when you know clearly what you want to build
My overall take:
Bubble for complexity. Webflow for design. Glide for quick internal stuff. FlutterFlow for mobile.
But if you're a solo founder or just someone trying to get an idea off the ground without burning months or hiring anyone - 8080.ai is genuinely the one I'd start with right now.
