Mizstream Pro Go capacitive turntable issue (oversensitivity)

Hi all,

Noticed I seem to have some kind of grounding issue, as when connected to my Cambridge Audio sub & speakers via phono cable, if I have my hand within inches of the turntables, the device thinks I'm touching the deck and stops/stutters.

Issue is it's a battery powered device and I don't have anything to connect the eath connection to (it's a garden room), anyone have ideas how I can get around it? Also my sub only has unbalanced connections.

I don't think connecting the power connector will help since it's a DC transformer with no ground connection.
