Does anyone know if Carrie has any support groups?
First, I want to state that I'm only posting this under the assumption Carrie has stopped coming in here after her last interaction in this sub and in no way am I trying to upset her. I will remove the post if I'm wrong about this. I don't want to cause any unintentional harm
Not to sound parasocial, but it's been incredibly difficult to follow current Carrie and I'm curious if she has mentioned joining any support groups for her PTSD.
I remember waaaaaay back (before I knew ONRAC had ended, possibly before the announcement. I can't recall) I saw her post about her mentioning her PTSD and needing time to process and work through it (something along those lines at least) on Instagram. It's one of the rare times I've ever send a DM to a creator to offer support if it was needed but never got any response (which is fine, I didn't really expect one tbh)
Watching Carrie behave how she does now has been really sad to see and honestly concerning, which is why I'm curious. I don't follow her substack and only occasionally pop into this sub and don't check Instagram enough to see every post she makes pop into my feed.
For context, I went through a similar experience when I was diagnosed with PTSD. ONRAC was a really good support for me to keep myself in check, especially in regards to "implanted memories" and unethical therapist tactics (specific to my situation, not hers).
Seeing what she has been doing hits painfully close to home. Idk if she is completely against hearing from others experience, and maybe it's just my experience with PTSD, questionable therapists and getting out of an echo chamber I didn't even know I was in is causing this to still bother me, but I'm having trouble shaking off that feeling.
Has anyone been able to talk with her where she hasn't been uncharacteristically rude or misinterpreting empathy as an attack? I don't condone her recent interactions with concerned fans, and I don't necessarily think one person's perspective would magically change that. However, I just can't help but feel concerned and to leave the door open if she ever wanted to just have a one-on-one with someone who went through a similar journey.
