Buying my first real chainsaw - what safety features matter vs Marketing gimmicks?

I’ve been borrowing my neighbours Husqvarna just for smaller jobs but need my own. Budget is around £250-350. Firewood mainly, occasionally clearing storm damage - not a commercial user. Surprised how many “safety features” there seem to be on modern saws. Obvious stuff, chain brake, kickback guard, anti-vibration and all the other wizardry etc, I get that. Is it safety evolution or just marketing verbiage? found some surprisingly low cost saws on Alibaba chainsaw safety seems to be an area to avoid cutting corners. Often see Stihl or Husqvarna mentioned in threads, also Oregon positively. Bar size - am a clueless, will 16” be ok? And advice on chains too - seems to be where experienced users emphasis on.
