First win at The Glorious as Rome with some amazing and new events
Just won a game, The Glorious, Ai starting with just one city, without major development.
The game was veeeeeeeeeeeery funny, had at least 2 main events that was new to me.
The first one, when Romulus died (this time Remus wasn't good enough to kill him, so he lived longer), the heir was 10 yo, so we had a Regent, pretty decent by the way. We had already settled the cities, but the empire was undeveloped, low resources production and small army. Then Carthage made me a very tricky offer, beeing the most powerfull nation of the game. Or they declare war, what would be my end, or i accept a Grand Vizier named by them (LOL) and we could have a National Alliance. Well, i had to choose the second one, and well...
First, i could swear, that bitch was named to fuck me. It wasn't about bad production chooses, it was about how she JUST produced anything that would not upgrade my production, luxuries or militar units. Man, this must be a part of the event, she was clearly avoiding my growth. I tryed to change her to ambassador, next turn a war declaration from my "Ally" or she turned back to the Vizier post LOL. I had to mantain her producing nothing good, while i could manage to upgrade my resources to start producing units someday.
When the Heir became King, i plotted agains her, exiled her, and had something like 20 turns to prepare, because Carthage declared war.
The second one, Kush leader (always them, why?) Killed my heir, then i Plotted to assassinate him, killed the mother fucker, but then his wife started to plot agains me and i had the option to assassinate she too! That was new to me.
In the end, i was a Puppet of Carthage during a long time, even if the Game don't have this mechanic, the event chain made me a puppet of them, and it was so freaking unespected. What a rich gameplay!
