Negative Comments on Social Media – A Side Effect of Doing Things Differently
Hey everyone, hope you're doing well!
I just wanted to share a bit about what we've been experiencing lately on social media. We've created something different with the Octa V1. And I really mean different, not just in looks, but in the way it functions. Every design choice has a purpose, nothing is just there for aesthetics. The goal wasn’t to make something for everyone, but to explore if there’s an alternative way to build a PC case, both in shape and performance.
Naturally, that’s brought a lot of attention... and a lot of strong opinions.
Most of the comments we receive are negative, things like “bad airflow,” “ugly,” “would never buy this,” or simply “pointless.” That’s fine. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. But what’s interesting is how often these comments come from people who haven’t really looked into why the case is built this way, or what it actually offers.
When you challenge what people are used to, especially in a space they care deeply about, it makes some uncomfortable. And if you flip the table on something they’ve believed in for years, the natural reaction is defense.
At Olicus, we’re here to redefine tech and gaming. That doesn’t mean we claim to have the perfect product, but we do want to show that there are other ways to solve problems, sometimes even better ways.
Thanks for reading. And to everyone who’s taken a moment to understand what we’re doing, thank you. Your support means more than you know.
