just got my phone and this happened... question is, if any of the glass get removed would battery life be affected?

so guys,

I just got my OP 12R

and this happened :(

I'm waiting for the case (no OP stores in my country so I'm taking it from abroad)

and some phone expert told me if any of the shattered glass is off the phone, then battery life would dbe affected and quicly damaged !!

is this right?

please help me know the truth.
