Hey everyone! I'm u/Youngutz2026, a founding moderator of r/OptionsSim.

I built this PassiveNomads options simulator tool because I couldn't find a free options simulator that let me practice on real historical data without opening a brokerage account first.

Every tool I tried was clunky, not realistic and too rigid to test strategies on the fly, or either locked behind a funded account. I wanted to sit down with a coffee, pick any point in SPY's last 5 years, hit play, and trade options as the chart moved — watching Greeks and IV react in real time.

So I built it. It runs on Black-Scholes 76 pricing, includes the COVID crash (best IV spike exercise available), and takes 30 seconds to sign up.
