Need help, best way to purchase new pc?

I am in the market for a new pc. My current one is decent, but is a hand me down that I’ve lightly upgraded over the past decade to keep it running just well enough. It is now not cutting it anymore and I’m looking for a new one. Purposes are for gaming and video editing. Budget is max $2000, but I’d like to see more options around $1500. I know where to buy PCs online and in person, but I have no idea how to be a smart shopper about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking for prebuilds, I’m not comfortable building my own.
