financial aid refunds

hey guys! for current or former students of pgcc, do yall know what determines the amount of money we are refunded each semester?

is it the number of credits we’re taking or something else? is it random? every semester, i’m sent a different amount of money, and i just wanna learn how they decide how much you’ll be getting
