PhD in Philosophy - US Applicant

Hi! I'm an undergrad studying in the U.S., and I'm starting to explore PhD programs in philosophy or related interdisciplinary fields.

If you've done or are currently in a PhD in this area, I'd love to hear about your experience, especially around admissions, funding, how competitive it was, and anything you wish you'd known going in. Also curious if anyone moved to Paris to do their PhD and how that played out.
