PaperHeartZero's Recommended Tunes for Online Racing!
Hello everyone!
I am u/Zediac. My GamerTag is PaperHeartZero so I made an account to reflect that name.
I made a list of my custom tunes for competitive online racing for all classes and all types! Class B, A, S1, S2 and Street, Dirt, and Cross Country! I don't have winter tunes available yet but they're in the works.
Unlike other lists of cars for online racing I'm not here to give my opinion of the absolute best cars. Some, like the Nova FE, are just a pain in the ass to use and not very fun. I'm not going to say that this or that car is 0.8% faster than everything else based on this particular criteria for these particular races under those particular conditions when tuned to hell for my specific driving style over an average of 100 races.
My point here is to provide a list of cars that are very competitive that anyone can pick up and easily use. This is a game and it's supposed to be fun. That's my point here. I want to help you all be competitive while still having fun!
Below is my list of cars my class and type and my personal thoughts on each.
B CLASS
B Class is a little difficult because you have to choose between upgraded tires for grip at the PI cost of speed or stick with stock tires and dump everything in speed. Very few cars are competitive in this class.
([STREET])
Ok, let's start with the one that everyone knows.
1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe - B Street - 815 521 935
Most people know this as the fastest car in B Class and the king of the class. That's sort of true. In a straight line nothing beats this car. It has the fastest acceleration in B Class. However, this car must use stock tires in remain in B Class. Although this is incredibly fast it suffers from bad grip. You'll notice it in tighter turns, high speed sweeping turns, and in braking. If you can deal with that then this car is faster than almost everything. Why do I say almost? Because there's something better.
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455 - B Street - 100 483 439
This car is amazing! On stock tires it's a tiny hair slower than the Daytona and effectively just as fast. But this car can trade a little power PI for upgraded tires and grip PI and stay in B Class. When I did that this car was still faster in the straights than everything but the Daytona but easily outhandles the Daytona. This is incredibly fast while still being agile. This, in my opinion, is the king of B Class.
([DIRT])
1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe - B Dirt - 436 560 382
This is basically the same as the Street Daytona. It's super fast in a line but suffers in the corners. The lack of grip shows on anything with tight turns.
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455 - B Dirt - 927 917 210
This is the better car for dirt. It's fast in a line but handles better in the turns than the Daytona and can easily drift around sweeping corners.
1976 Jeep CJ5 Renegade - B Dirt - 356 852 620
This Jeep is the best thing in B class for tight, technical dirt courses. This will outhandle the above two cars but it's noticeable slower in the straights.
A CLASS
A Class is my favorite to race in. There's a good mix of speed and handling without either being too much to deal with. And lots of cars are usable in this class compared to the other classes.
([STREET])
1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe - A Street - 127 639 904
Class A is where the Daytona really shines. It's insanely fast, agile, and handles great. This is the best car to use for A Street by far. It's expensive at 8 million credits new and 7 million on the Auction House but the car with worth it.
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455 - A Street - 288 575 087
The Firebird is a nice second behind the Daytona. It's a little slower with a little worse handling but it's still much better than most everything else. This can be found on the Auction House for around 400k.
1970 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport 454 - A Street - 598 290 312
This El Camino is wonderful for anyone starting out without a lot of credits to spend. It's not quite as fast as the Daytona or Firebird but it's not far behind and still relatively very fast , handles great, and is cheap to buy on the Auto Show. Plus, best of all, the tonneau cover on the bed gives you a large flat space to find a vinyl group sticker of your favorite anime waifu and place it there so she can cheer you on as you race! ;)
([DIRT])
1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe - A Dirt - 573 640 918
Again the Daytona is a great choice here. It's a pretty good car for dirt and more agile than you'd think.
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455 - A Dirt - 984 498 913
The Firebird is a nice alternative to the Daytona. It's a little less agile but holds a drift better.
1970 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport 454 - A Street - 151 994 865
The El Camino continues to be a great budget pick. This is a great all arounder in dirt and a pleasure to use.
([CROSS COUNTRY])
2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk - A Cross Country - 117 108 298
This Jeep is fast, handles great, and in general is a joy to use. In Cross Country the handling is very important and this nails it.
2018 Mercedes-Benz X-Class - A Cross Country - 150 616 351
This Mercedes is faster than the Jeep. Handling is a matter of personal taste. Try them both and see what you think.
S1 Class
S1 has some great options. Speeds are getting faster and handling is starting to be the more important stat.
([STREET])
2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera - S1 Street - 171 350 567
This Aston is nuts. It accelerates faster than all but 1 other car in S1 and it handles better than everything. This thing is a weapon.
2018 ATS GT - S1 Street - 175 445 025
If you've been playing regularly lately then you should have, like, 6 of these things. And the good news is that it's a great car. It's fast and handles great.
([DIRT])
2013 Dodge SRT Viper GTS - S1 Dirt - 114 831 462
I adore this Viper for dirt. It's super fast, handles like a surgeons scalpel on dirt, and is so much fun. The relatively long wheelbase makes it so stable in the turns.
1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution - S1 Dirt - 175 544 368
Here's the famous Hoonigan RS200 but in S1 form. It's pretty good but it has a couple of short comings. It has a short wheelbase which makes it a little twitchy compared to the Viper and it's low weight makes it easy to push around by others since every single damn race in this game is actually bumper cars in disguise.
([CROSS COUNTRY])
2014 Lamborghini Urus Concept - S1 Cross Country - 156 664 907
This Lambo concept is very wide and stable while also being particularly fast. It's readily purchasable on the Auto Show, too.
2019 Porsche Macan Turbo - S1 Cross Country - 834 788 812
This Porsche is fast and handles pretty good. It's not for everyone but it's speed makes up for slightly lacking handling.
1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck "Welcome Pack" - S1 Cross Country - 166 259 824
A lot of people say that they hate the way this truck handles. But those people haven't tried my tunes. I tamed this truck and it's a handling beast. It's slower than the Porsche but its better handling makes up for it.
S2 Class
S2 Class is where handling is the most important. Most cars that belong in S2 can be an option speed wise but cars need stable and predictable handling in order to be competitive.
([STREET])
2018 McLaren Senna - S2 Street - 142 631 740
This is the game's mascot, we all get one for free, and in in general it's a great car for S2. It has great handling and top tier speed.
2019 LEGO Speed Champions McLaren Senna - S2 Street - 971 734 755
Yes, I'm serious. This might be a novelty car but it's legitimately good. It's fast and agile like the regular Senna. We also get one for free if you have the LEGO expansion. Give it a shot.
1995 Nissan Nismo GT-R LM Forza Edition - S2 Street - 910 100 529
The LM FE has two big advantages. It has a lot of downforce for accurate steering and handling and it has incredible braking. Oddly the in game stats for the car are just wrong. You can get this car for free in the Skill Tree for the Nissan R390.
1989 Ferrari F40 Competizione - S2 Street - 547 412 460
This Ferrari is the slowest of the bunch but it's light and agile with good handling. Again, it's a free car, too.
And that's it for now! I plan to add more in the future. If I make any tweaks to the tunes of any of the above cars then I'll replace the share code with the new updated one. When I add more cars I'll make a note at the top and then add them in their appropriate category.
Feel free to make any requests and I'll do what I can for you! As always check out my GamerTag: PaperHeartZero if you are looking for tunes for anything in general. I have a bunch there and you might find something that you're looking for.
Happy racing!
