I stopped giving websites my real email and the spam basically disappeared
People still use the same email for banking, shopping, random apps, newsletters, everything… then wonder why their inbox is full of phishing scams. Email aliases are honestly one of the best privacy tools of Proton password manager
With Proton Password manager you can create separate aliases for every service instead of exposing your real email everywhere.
So if one site leaks/sells your address:
- only that alias gets spammed
- you instantly know who leaked it
- you can just disable the alias and move on
Way easier to contain spam and phishing instead of nuking your whole inbox.
