Trying to quit
I don't know if this is appropriate here or not so delete if needed
BUT after almost 3 years on GLP1s (my perfume addiction started 2weeks to the day from my first shot) I am just worn out. The GLP1 has helped me lose weight and finally drop the food obsession that's haunted me my entire life. Just absolutely miraculous how mentally great that feels. Honestly I would have been happy with just that part and not having lost the weight if that makes sense. The constant food noise from the moment I woke up until the moment I fell asleep was torture. The switch from food noise to perfume noise was subtle but as some with the propensity for obsessions just written into my DNA, this felt normal. I began spending more and more time scrolling perfume groups, buying and selling bottles and decants. It has become where I dread certain times of the day bc these are my scrolling times and I don't want to but I know I'm going to anyway. I have made it just 2 months total in the last 3y without a relapse of buying. I'm starting again today. No more mindless scrolling thru groups "just to see". Like Clarissa said in Silence Of The Lambs, "we covet what we see every day".
Have any of you been able to quit buying and scrolling and obsessing??
