Is the Polymega controller compatible with PS1 analogue controls?

(Apologies if this has been asked before. I did do a search to see if anyone else has asked this already, but didn't see any results.)

So essentially as the title says. Can the controller that comes with the Polymega be used in analogue mode for compatible PS1 games?

I ask, because I have a handful of PS1 games which make use of the original Dual Shock analogue controller. But when I play them using the Polymega controller, they don't register that it's analogue.

It seems weird to me, because it's basically designed to be like the Dual Shock, yet I haven't been able to play any games that make use of the sticks.

Is there a setting I need to change or something?

And if it doesn't do analogue controls, what controller would people recommend I try? Thanks!
