So I got to thinking about this...

So, following the Cosmos film aside from all my issues with the series' continuity, I DO like Galaxia as a villain, in much the same way I like Nehelenia and Mage Beryl. As an honorable mention, I also like the Black Moon Clan, and think that there could have been a way for them to be related to Nehelenia. Perhaps Princes Diamond was Nehelenia's son. You know what, scratch that, I only like Prince Diamond, I can do without the rest of the BMC.

ANYWAY...

It got me to thinking about them more as characters, how they're so very poorly fleshed out. What was Mage Beryl's relationship to Helios and the Golden Kingdom?

I like the idea that she was a maenad priestess (As opposed to the Lunarian knockoffs that lived with Helios...) who fell in love with Prince Endymion, but because of her vows (Perhaps include her family gifting her to the temple?) could not be with him. This could just as easily tie into Nehelenia and her son (In my imagined alternate timeline...) where he had feelings for Serenity, or rather he and Serenity were promised to one another to keep the peace between the rival moons.

How this plays out, I have yet to piece together, but I think it would have worked out a lot better than the story we got, and would have been able to flesh out the complexities and nuances in the senshi and shitennou relationships in tandem. Perhaps even show more of those trips to Earth, and the Moon.

Nehelenia could be Endymion's mother, and Prince Diamond could take upon the role of Helios. Ultimately having developed feelings for Serenity, but his duty to his Prince keeping them in check.

Finally, this brings me back to Galaxia whom as much as I like as a villain, I can't quite place here.

Frankly, I don't like the idea of Sailor Chaos etc., I think Galaxia is an interesting character as is, and that it was a missed opportunity not to properly flesh her out.

But I have questions about her place in the Galaxy. Why does she have a Sailor Crystal so powerful as to rival the Silver Crystal of Serenity?

Who are the other four members of her quartet shown on her brooch? Maybe a scrapped plot for the Amazon Quartet?

Also, in keeping with the Cosmos film, why is that we never see her Sailor Crystal when she fades? Instead her Galaxia armlets are all that's left. Her brooch isn't her Sailor Crystal, so what gives?
