Building in public and outreach is the best way to find your first 100 users
I run same strategy for every new product and here's what worked and what doesn't work:
What worked:
Start focusing on SEO from day one with relevant blog post, free tools. They rank, they bring traffic and some users convert.
literally google things the way your customers would then create a page or how to for every query that fits.
find your potential users and ask them to try out your product, it can be friends, followers or your exact target audience on reddit.
Competitor/alternative pages. They rank and get surfaced by ChatGPT/Perplexity.
Google Search Console. Submit your sitemap if you haven't already.
Fast support for every users. Reply in minutes. It helps with finding out what works and what doesn't.
Building in public. Posts like this one. Cold outreach.
Find people who are already looking for your product on Reddit and drop your personalised offer, it converts better.
Things that doesn't work (for me):
Paid ads (tried Meta Ads and Google ads for a week)
What's been working for you? Always looking to steal ideas :)
