Is convenant eyes beneficial?

Probably a silly question but I'm serious. If most of your lustful thoughts come via imagination and you don't necessarily watch porn on your devices often, but rarely. Struggling and I told members that I trust about my situation and they recommend this but I'm not sure how this would help.
