Best business phone system for construction companies

Hey all!
I run a construction company and we’ve been testing a bunch of VoIP tools lately while trying to scale our sales team.
We’ve got a partially remote setup, so things like shared inboxes, call summaries, real-time transcription, smart routing, and clean Salesforce integrations were high on the list.
Figured I’d share a quick roundup of what we tried, what stood out, and where each one fell short.

Here’s what we’ve tested or seriously considered so far:

1. Allô
+ One of the newer players we came across. The AI call summaries are fast and surprisingly accurate
+ Also offers real-time transcription and an in-call AI assistant that suggests next steps or flags key info
Bonus: the setup felt way lighter than Aircall or Dialpad
– Minor downside: the mobile app feels limited compared to desktop—hoping they improve it over time

2. Dialpad
+ Well-known for its AI suite—call summaries, voice analysis, and coaching tools are pretty robust
+ Feels geared more toward enterprise use cases
– The interface is a bit heavy if you're not using everything—it can feel like overkill for small teams

3. Aircall
+ Great for outbound and support-heavy workflows
+ Solid AI transcription and tagging features
– Gets pricey fast, especially if you’re scaling beyond 10 seats

4. JustCall
+ Budget-friendly and includes things like Smart Replies and call scoring
+ Plays well with most CRMs
– UI feels dated, and support responsiveness was hit-or-miss for us

5. OpenPhone
+ Works well for solo founders or very early teams
– We outgrew it pretty quickly—shared inboxes and routing became pain points
– Still not much in terms of AI unless you're bolting on extra tools
