'Red Petals' - my first science fiction short story published in English

I am very grateful for the opportunity to have my work included in "European Science Fiction #2" collection published by Future Fiction. More info about it can be found here: https://www.futurefiction.org/europeansciencefiction2/?lang=en

'Red Petals'—originally written in Polish, translated into English by myself—is a brief tale about Martin, a man living in New Freedonia, a pseudo-country that emerged in Sudeten Mountains after industrial civilisation collapse. He tries to bring joy for sickly little girl Adela by taking her on a trip to Santa Claus’ house. However, in New Freedonia appearances are more deceptive than ever, and that particular Santa Claus is far from a saint.

Should you buy and read the collection, I'd be pleased to respond to any feedback!
