I stopped turning pages in ebooks and never went back
Most ebook readers still mimic paper books—you tap "Next Page" every few seconds.
After a while, I started wondering: why?
On a phone, scrolling with your thumb feels much more natural than constantly tapping.
So I built infinite scrolling into Shiori EPUB Reader.
Instead of flipping pages, you simply scroll continuously from the beginning of the book to the end.
For me, the benefits are:
- 📖 No interruptions while reading
- 👍 Comfortable one-thumb navigation
- 📱 Better suited for phones than page-by-page reading
- ♾️ Read an entire book without pressing "Next"
I know some readers love page-turn animations because they feel like a physical book, but I personally find infinite scrolling much more comfortable for long reading sessions.
I'm curious:
- Do you prefer page turns or infinite scrolling?
- If your ebook reader supports both, which one do you actually use most?
