MV7+ USB C adapter

Hi im thinking on buying the MV7+, but im hesitating because my current PC case doesn't have a USB c (and an old 2015 mac), im afraid that a simple adapter or one of the cables that I have laying around (USB C to USB 3) would not do the trick, does anyone have try this or know if this would be a problem?
