Small overtime adds up faster than you think

I strive for financial stability and want to be one of the best employees.
At the same time, I practice slow, cozy productivity and believe that quality and sustainability at work matter more than constant rushing and overtime.
Before, I used to stay 15–20 minutes late at work every day,
trying to get everything done or make my reports as good as possible.
If this happens every working day, it adds up to about 1.5 hours a week
and around 6 hours of my personal time per month.
I’m not comfortable with that.
So I decided not to stay late at work anymore, only in the most extreme cases.
And I won’t schedule client calls 5–10 minutes before the end of the workday, unless it’s a major client.
How often do you stay late at work? And why do you do it?
