I sat down as a joke and suddenly couldn’t breathe right
You ever do something completely dumb at a hangout just because the vibe is loose and then spend the next ten minutes pretending your whole body isn’t on fire?
Last night I was at my girl’s place. Nothing planned, just drinks, some low music, people sprawled on the floor and the couch. Her older brother was there too, doing his usual quiet thing in the corner. He’s always like that. Cute in that I-don’t-even-know-I’m-being-looked-at way.
There weren’t enough seats. He had claimed the giant recliner all by himself. I was walking past with my phone in my hand and half-jokingly told him he was hogging the whole thing. Then I just sat down on his lap like it was the most normal thing in the world.
Everybody laughed. He gave me this tiny, embarrassed smile like he had no idea what to do with his hands. I stayed.
At first it was nothing. Just playing around. I even kept scrolling, acting like I was still in the group chat.
Then I felt him go completely still under me. His hands stayed glued to the armrests, like he was trying not to touch me on purpose. I shifted back just a little. Not even a real move. Just enough.
That’s when I felt it. Hard. Growing. Pressed right against me.
I have no idea why I didn’t jump up. I just sat there. Phone in my hand. Face completely normal. Like nothing in the world was happening. He didn’t say a word either. Didn’t even try to adjust in a way that would look obvious.
I felt his leg twitch once. Small. Like he was fighting not to move.
We stayed like that. Minutes, probably. I kept scrolling through nothing, heart going crazy, pretending I was reading some dumb post while I was actually thinking about how easy it would be to rock back just a tiny bit.
