Hey everyone!

I’m the solo developer behind **Smart Workout Diary**, and I’ve been working on a new feature that I’m pretty excited about: \*\*Active Workout Mode\*\*.

The idea is to move beyond simply logging workouts. I want the app to actually guide you while you’re training — more like having a coach with you during the session.

The current version includes:

• Step-by-step progression through exercises and sets
• Rest timers between sets
• Quick editing of reps, weight, duration, speed and distance
• RPE tracking
• Coach tips during the workout
• Preview of the next exercise
• Overall workout progress

After completing a set, the app automatically moves into recovery mode, starts the rest timer, shows what’s coming next, and then continues the workout.

I’ve attached a few screenshots of the current design.

I’m still working on it, so I’d genuinely appreciate feedback — **does this feel like something you would actually use at the gym?**

And if you already use workout tracking apps: **what would make an AI coach genuinely useful during a workout rather than just another workout logger?**

Would love to hear your thoughts. 💪

I’m building an Active Workout Mode for my AI fitness app — would love some feedback
