Best AI for writing smut? We didn't find it, so we built our own free beta

Hey, adult-fiction readers and writers!

We are a small team of authors and readers, and Smut Writer began with a familiar frustration: the features we wanted were scattered across different tools or simply did not exist.

We wanted a place built specifically for writing and reading NSFW fiction without restrictions or black-box AI models writing it.

Somewhere writers could develop more than a single scene, keep control of their stories, and explore adult fiction without constantly being told “no” by restrictive AI models like those from OpenAI, Anthropic, and others. We wanted a place where we could use any model free from mature-content censorship and be free to write fiction without denied requests. We also wanted to be in control of which model was writing a response.

So we started building that place ourselves. Is it something you might be looking for too?

Smut Writer already has some features, with more in development and at the ideation stage. We have a long list of ideas, but we do not want to build the whole platform based only on our own preferences.

We want writers and readers to help shape it.

The platform is currently in beta and completely free to use. Our community is growing, and we are preparing for the official launch soon. This is the best time to join if you would like your feedback to have a real influence on what we build next.
