In his final moments, did he decide to kill off the two main actors and completely upend the Mule story by switching the character to someone with no real underlying motivation so that Apple would have to clean up the mess in Season 4?

Seriously not sure what I just watched. Bayta as the Mule felt like a twist for a sake of a twist. Brother Dusk/Darkness going crazy was at least foreshadowed and built up, though him being able to do all of that with no intervention felt like Gaal’s atmospheric bodyboarding: a little too much suspension of disbelief required to be engaging.

I’ll make a prediction tho: the Laura Bern award will go to Laura Bern Getting Burned?
