How often?

Hello all, I have some THCp distillate on the way and I’m wondering how often I should use it to keep my tolerance down. Someone on another sub told me I could take like 3 hits every other day. Is this true? Seems like it would still build a tolerance quickly with that routine. Also wondering what percentage you all recommend for a cartridge. One guy told me 3-5 percent is good.
