⭐ Purchase Deal & Value for Money

One of the biggest reasons I went for the Tank 500 is the insane value GWM is offering in the UAE. Here’s exactly what I got:
• 6-year car warranty
• 1 million km engine + chassis warranty (yes, 1,000,000 km 🤯)
• 6-year full free service contract (up to 100,000 km)
• Free first-year registration
• Corporate offer – AED 4,000 discount (only for certain companies in UAE)
• Free 3M window tinting

For a 200k SUV loaded with features, nothing else in this price bracket even comes close.

Only downside:
• Insurance was pricey – AED 6,000 for the first year (expected since it’s a luxury-segment SUV with lots of tech + After dubai floods premium has increased)

🔋 Fuel Consumption (Real-World UAE Data)

Best:

10.5 – 11.5 km/L
Highway cruise, light foot, speed ~100–120 km/h.

Worst:

6.5 – 7.5 km/L
Peak Dubai/Sharjah traffic + short trips + AC always on.

Highway:

10 – 11.5 km/L
Very stable, thanks to the 3.0L V6 turbo + 9AT combination.

City:

7 – 8.5 km/L
Dubai traffic affects it the most. Not bad for a 3-liter V6 body-on-frame SUV.

⚙️ Engine Performance

The 3.0L twin-turbo V6 with the 9-speed automatic is honestly one of the nicest parts of the car.
• Very smooth acceleration
• Effortless overtakes on highways
• Quiet engine at cruising speeds
• Turbo lag is minimal and noticeable during lower gears
• When fully loaded, still pulls confidently

For the price, the engine performance feels premium and refined.

🚙 Drive Comfort & Ride Quality

Tank 500 is built for comfort, not racing.
• Suspension is plush, absorbs Dubai speed bumps and rough patches very well
• Cabin is extremely quiet, even at 140 km/h
• Steering is light in city, heavier on highways and can be changed based on driver - has different settings
• Long-distance rides are genuinely relaxing and there is No tiredness
• Third row is fine for kids or short rides
• Seats are cushy and supportive and has 7 way adjustment

Overall, comfort level feels like a premium car, at half the price .

📱 Tech Features – Surprisingly Premium

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

Maintains distance nicely usually 1 car distance on E311/E611. Slows down on corners for safety . ACC plays very safe game and it might frustrate aggressive drivers. But I personally feel this is good for me .

Automatic Parking

Actually works well for parallel and reverse parking. Slow but accurate. Tried few times and satisfied.

Lane Change Assist / Lane Keep

Not perfect, but good for mild highway corrections. Don’t use it- have disabled it

Massage Seats

A blessing on long drives. Multiple modes, quiet motors.

Seat Adjustment

Highly adjustable, ventilated + heated. Easy to find a perfect position.

360° Camera System

Very clear, especially at night. Parking in tight Dubai spots is easy. This is one of best camera available in the market for an SUV.
Gives FULL confidence .

• Good layout
• Wireless CarPlay works consistently
• Speakers are very good . Infinity

• Suitable for kids, teenagers, and short adults
• Best for short rides (<45 mins)
• Gets tight for full-grown adults

Very good with the third row folded.
Enough room for strollers, luggage, groceries, and weekend trips.
With all rows up, space is limited (expected for this segment).

Personal opinion and review After 1 year of ownership, I can confidently say the Tank 500 is one of the best-value full-size SUVs in the UAE right now.
