AI companies should be allowed to test themselves before releasing powerful models?
So the White House has invited OpenAI, Google, Meta, and Anthropic to discuss a new voluntary AI safety testing framework after recent AI cybersecurity concerns.
the question I'm more interested in:
If the most powerful AI models can potentially expose security risks, should companies be trusted to evaluate themselves before release or should independent third-party testing become the new standard?
Curious where everyone stands on this.
