1996 Ford F150 ignition

I have a 1996 Ford F-150 the ears to turn the key are missing from the ignition. Id like to have ears on the ignition again however you need a new ignition cylinder to have ears. Would a locksmith be able to rekey a new lock body to accept my current key or would i be able to order an igntion cylinder with my current keys code?
