Did the 6 day Tallinn to Vilnius road trip, here's the full route (Baltics)
Did the Tallinn to Vilnius drive this year, 6 days, three countries, and it's genuinely one of the easiest road trips I've done in Europe. Roads are smooth, distances are sane (nothing over 4 hours), and the variety is what got me. You go from Tallinn's medieval old town to Parnu's beach town vibe, into Riga for the art nouveau, then a proper detour to the Hill of Crosses (which is much stranger and more moving in person than photos suggest), down to the Curonian Spit for dunes and amber hunting, then finish through Kaunas and Trakai Castle into Vilnius.
A few things that surprised me: no border checkpoints between the three countries so it barely registers you've crossed, the speed camera situation through small villages is no joke so watch your limits, and the amber on the Curonian Spit actually does wash up after a storm, I found a small piece myself.
Wrote up the full day by day breakdown with drive times and where to stay each night here if it's useful to anyone planning something similar: https://thetraveltinker.com/road-trip/baltic-states-road-trip/
Happy to answer questions if anyone's thinking about doing it.
