Best VPN for NFL Game Pass in 2025?

I signed up for NFL Game Pass this week but didn’t realize the U.S. version doesn’t give live regular season games anymore. Kinda frustrating, especially since I mainly watch live. I saw some posts in free VPN Reddit threads saying the international version still has full live access, so I figured I’d try using a VPN to switch regions and test it out.

First tried ProtonVPN’s free plan, but it didn’t have any of the countries I needed. Then I gave Windscribe a shot and connected to a UK server. Opened Game Pass, logged in, and boom, live games unlocked. It felt like a cheat code. The stream quality was solid too, only buffered once when my Wi-Fi hiccupped.

I’m still using the free plan for now, but I’m wondering if there’s a better VPN out there that works even more smoothly for this. Has anyone tried other free VPN options that still fly under the radar and don’t get blocked by Game Pass? Or should I just upgrade to a cheap paid one for more consistency?

Curious what’s working best in 2025 for NFL fans.
