Help me choose a hotel

My wife and I are considering a vacation with our 1y/o to Miami beach and have narrowed our hotel choices to the Fontainbleau and the 1Hotel. Which is more family friendly? Any better hotels we should be looking at? We would really like to find something that is right on the beach but if it's a good hotel and only a block or two away we might consider it.

I haven't vacationed in Florida in a long time so I am not up to date on the good places to go. Thank you and advance for any suggestions you can offer.
