Hi everyone,

I build a small web app for indoor cycling training called Wattlog. This week I added **Strava integration**, and I want to share it.

What it does:

* **Connect your Strava account** with one click. You don't need to create your own Strava app or copy any keys. You just press "Connect with Strava" and accept. It works like "Sign in with Google."
* **Upload a ride to Strava.** After you finish a session, you can send it to Strava as an activity. It uploads power, heart rate, and cadence.
* **Import your Strava history.** You can pull your old rides from Strava into Wattlog. The app reads the power and heart rate data and calculates your training metrics (NP, IF, TSS). This helps to track your training load over time (CTL/ATL/TSB).

A few things I care about:

* Your Strava tokens are **encrypted** before they are saved. A database copy is useless without the key.
* The import works in **small batches** (about 30 rides at a time). This is on purpose, so one user cannot use all of the shared Strava rate limit and break it for everyone.
* It works on **web and mobile** (the app also runs on iOS and Android).

It is still early, so feedback is very welcome. If you use Strava and indoor training, I would love to know:

* Do you prefer to **upload** rides to Strava, or **import** from it?
* Would you want **automatic sync** after each ride, instead of a button?

Thanks for reading. Happy to answer any questions.
