Any simple guides for a teacher managing a school site?

Our school recently launched a digital version of our school paper, and I've been tasked with managing the site. I'm trying to learn the basics of Google Search Console to see if people are actually reading my students' articles. Since my background is in Language Education and not IT, looking at all these indexing graphs is honestly a bit overwhelming.
