Feature request: Use Zoom’s active-speaker name to label transcripts

I’m trying out this tool for Zoom calls. Speaker diarization is useful, but it identifies voices from the audio rather than linking each segment to the participant’s Zoom display name (which is more deterministic when available).

Would it be feasible to read the active-speaker name shown in the Zoom Workplace desktop app via macOS Accessibility, record when that name changes, and use those timestamps to label transcript segments? Granola’s “Speaker tags” appear to work this way. Voice diarization could remain a fallback when the active speaker is unclear.

This would be especially useful in meetings where everyone joins from their own Zoom account. I realize it wouldn’t reliably identify individuals sharing one device or speaking over each other.

Is this already on the roadmap, or is there a technical blocker? I’d be interested in testing an implementation.
