5 study tips that helped me stop procrastinating
I used to be that student who reread the same paragraph 10 times and still forgot everything during exams. This semester I switched up my study habits and it honestly changed everything.
First, I started using active recall instead of just highlighting. I close my notes and try to explain the topic out loud like I’m teaching it. It feels awkward, but it works.
Second, spaced repetition. I review material for like 10–15 minutes every few days instead of cramming the night before. My stress levels dropped big time.
Third, I study in 45-minute blocks and then take a real break (no scrolling). Quick walk, water, stretch.
Fourth, I write summaries by hand. Typing is faster, but writing helps me remember more.
Last thing: I study in different locations sometimes. Library, coffee shop, even a different room. It keeps my brain from going on autopilot.
Grades improved, anxiety went down. Highly recommend trying at least one of these.
