Semaglutide with Zappy Health, 3 months in, here’s what I’ve learned
Just wanted to share my experience after about 3 months on compounded semaglutide through Zappy Health. I’ve seen a lot of people wondering what to expect and whether it’s worth it, so here’s what it’s been like for me so far:
Stats:
Starting weight: 254 lbs Current weight: 219 lbs Height: 5'8" Total loss: 35 lbs Time on sema: 12 weeks (currently at 1mg)
What’s helped the most:
- Appetite is way more manageable, I don’t obsess over food anymore.
- Smaller portions fill me up, without even trying.
- Cravings are minimal. It’s been way easier to say no to mindless snacking.
- Weight loss has been steady, about 2-3 lbs a week. Some plateaus, but it balances out.
Side effects I’ve had:
- Some nausea when increasing the dose, but nothing major
- A little tiredness the first couple weeks
- Constipation here and there, but fiber and water help
What’s worked for me:
- Eat slowly, you’ll notice fullness earlier
- Water is key, especially early on
- Getting in some walking or light movement helps the med work better
- Use the structure sema gives you to build habits (I’ve been meal prepping more and journaling a bit too)
I still have a ways to go, but this is the first time in years I’ve felt in control of my eating. Zappy made it really easy to get started, and the whole experience has been way smoother than I expected.
Let me know if you’ve had a similar experience, or if you’re just getting started and have questions!
