I've had my MY26 Zeekr X AWD for a month now, thought some people would be interested in the reality of living with an X. It's Grid Grey with black and red interior and black wheels. In one month, my partner and I have put just over 2,000km on it. We're getting an average efficiency of about 17 kWh/100km.

Basically, I love it! It's a great car and the joy of driving it hasn't faded. My biggest complaint is that my partner also lives driving it too, so I don't get to drive it as much as I'd like. If I had the chance to reconsider the purchase knowing what I knew after a month of ownership, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

I'm really glad I chose the X over the 7X for my circumstances. I have a narrowish driveway and do a lot of driving through narrow suburban streets. It's nimble, small and easy to park. If I did a lot of freeway driving or longer trips, the 7X would have been better, but I almost exclusively do suburban driving, for which the X is perfect.

I really like the UI on the main screen. In my previous car (MY23 Ford Escape Vignale) I almost exclusively used Android Auto, but don't bother in the X, as I find the inbuilt navigation, radio and Spotify integrate really well when I'm driving.

The voice assistant is responsive, but limited. It always understands what I'm saying, but functionality is a bit hit-and-miss. A lot of the time it says "sorry, I can't do that yet". Also, the American accent is a bit grating.

The only real issue I've had was when my digital key stopped working, and I couldn't get the car into gear. The phone was where it should have been, but the car wouldn't recognise it. I ended up having to delete the app, reinstall, log in and create a new digital key.

I didn't order power doors, but the car was delivered with them. They're a bit "meh". A fun feature, but too fiddly. I don't hate them, but would advise anyone who's thinking about them not to bother.

The good:

It's so smooth and quiet, I know that's a trait of most EVs, but I really do enjoy it. It's so quiet that I could hear the cracking of the suspension on the car next to me.

It's fast. I knew it was fast by the specs, but when you put your foot down at the traffic lights, it's blisteringly quick off the mark, and I don't even use sports acceleration mode.

It looks great. I've had a lot of double takes at traffic lights and people taking a good look when it's parked. It's different enough to be eye catching, but not so different that it's polarising.

It feels premium inside. From the soft touch door fabric to the suede feel of the a pillar material, everything feels nice. Also no squeaks, rattles or loose components.

The not so good:

My biggest annoyance is the Android app. It works, and I can remotely control the climate and open and close stuff. It tells me where the car is and the SOC. But the key and proximity lock are glitchy. To get the proximity lock to work, I have to open the app and manually connect. This isn't a catastrophic problem, but an annoyance with an otherwise wonderful car. The sales manager told me that it's because it's using V1.0 of the digital key. V3.0 will hopefully fix that and should be coming early next year.

Aside from that, there's nothing I don't like about it. The ADAS can be a little annoying, but it's easy to turn that off with the swipe down menu on the centre screen.

Wish list:

There's a few software things I'd love to see:

\- Fix the digital key so proximity unlock works as it should

\- Speed limiter (so I don't accidentally go above the speed when I take off at the lights)

\- Braking and acceleration settings tied to each Driver's identity. I like heavy regen with full stop, my partner prefers mild regen with creep. Each time we swap drivers, we have to change settings, even though it knows who we are.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
