Breakthrough bleeding with Implanon/Nexplanon vs. continuous combined hormonal contraceptives.

Has anyone (at different times) used both Implanon/Nexplanon and continuous combined hormonal contraceptives (patch, ring, pill etc., no hormone-free days)? How did you find the breakthrough bleeding on each to compare?

I am currently using Nexplanon and am finding the irregular bleeding really frustrating- I didn't have this last time I used Nexplanon but have had bad luck this time.
