Can a Solo Developer Cockroach Help Create 1 Million CEOs and 2 Crore Jobs in India?
I'm not going to pretend this is a cool founder story.
There's no VC money. No co-founder. No office. Just me, my cat, and a laptop that makes sounds it probably shouldn't.
An ordinary Indian trying to survive — pay bills, build things, fail, learn, and keep moving. Like millions of others. I sit behind a screen most of the day. Quiet life. I like it that way.
But for the last few weeks, I couldn't stop thinking about something.
I kept watching — really watching — the CJP thing unfold. Not the memes. Not the follower count. What was underneath it.
20 million people didn't follow a cockroach account because it was funny.
They followed it because someone finally said out loud what they'd been feeling for years.
We exist. We're struggling. And we're tired of being invisible.
I thought about the NEET kids who studied for years and woke up to a paper leak. The engineering graduates driving cabs — not because they're lazy, but because there are more graduates than opportunities. The farmer's kid with a genuinely brilliant idea and nobody to show it to. The girl in a tier-3 city who codes better than anyone I know but can't get past a resume screen because she doesn't have the right college name.
India doesn't have a talent shortage.
India has a "someone believed in me" shortage.
I'm not a politician. I'm not rich. I have no influence, no power, no connections. I'm just another ordinary Indian — a survival cockroach. Like millions of people across this country, I've faced setbacks, uncertainty, and failures that sometimes felt bigger than me. But I learned to adapt, keep moving, and keep building.
That's exactly why I believe India's greatest strength isn't in a few successful people at the top. It's in millions of ordinary people who refuse to give up.
So I set myself a goal.
1 million CEOs. 2 crore jobs for India's youth.
(My cat Bhootham gave me a seriously-bro look when I wrote that down.)
Laughable? Maybe. That's okay. Everything that ever mattered started with a number that sounded impossible.
I don't know if this will work. I don't know if you'll care.
But somewhere right now, there's a student with an idea who thinks nobody will listen.
This is for them.
Welcome to the Swarm. 🪳 CEO Cockroach
