The next AI war is not about raw benchmarks
Anthropic dropping benchmark scores for an unreleased model should feel like a flex. Instead, the most upvoted reaction was basically: cool, but will saying hello eat my weekly limit?
That is where the market is shifting. Model capability keeps climbing, but trust is now decided by usability, consistency, and whether people can actually build around the limits.
A bigger benchmark gap is exciting. A bigger gap between capability and daily usability is what people remember.
What matters more to you right now, raw model performance or predictable usage?
